My family descends from the same Joshua Travis as you, but from David instead of Elijah. David married Rachel Birdsall and had many children, among whom was my ancestor Stephen. He and his wife Mary Timson Travis came to Wisconsin in approximately 1846, followed later by his son William Henry. William Henry and his wife Margaret Lounsbury Travis and family settled near LaCrosse, Wisconsin. They were my grandmother Nita Dickinson Purdy's great-grandparents. There are an awful lot of us, aren't there? Best regards, Janelle Vandervort Dvorak
